About Atlas

With years of fire and safety experience behind us, the team at Atlas Safety realized there was a need to provide equipment to volunteer fire departments that did not have the budget to buy new gear. With that in mind Atlas developed a program to get these departments quality refurbished and reconditioned equipment and gear at a fraction of the cost.

The easy thing to do would be to go on the world wide web and steal some AI generated psychobabble for our “about us”.  We would then steal some Google available pictures of factories, labcoats, smiling faces with perfect teeth and we would say that was Atlas.  That would not be fair or accurate and it certainly would not represent what Atlas is. 

Atlas was designed in 2001 to provide safety equipment to volunteer fire departments that could not afford new but still wanted quality.  We moved up to providing new product and then we moved into rentals, providing some of the largest volumes of equipment in Canada. The United States and The Middle East.  All companies have their ups and downs in 24 years of business, recession, elections, pipeline, no pipeline and most business changing, Covid. 

Atlas has been through all of it and come out the other end stronger.  From mailouts, to fax outs to email blasts back to mailouts, it has been a perpetual learning cycle.  We are the original.  Please interact with us for the next 25 years and onward.
