Atlas Lithium Batteries

Course Description

Upon completion of this course, the trainee should understand the key elements necessary to ensure a safe work site where lithium batteries are stored or handled, an awareness of the various legislation, regulations, and standards that pertain to lithium batteries and should be familiar with the potential hazards associated with lithium batteries, and how to control those hazards.

Course Contents

This course follows the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code and takes into consideration the guidelines and principles of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) and is intended to supplement a company’s larger Health & Safety Management System.

Trainees would benefit from having recently completed Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training prior to taking this course.

Course Completion

The quizzes at the end of each chapter are intended and designed to strengthen your understanding of course contents. Successful completion of the chapter quizzes is required, and you have two retries of each quiz to achieve this.

Upon successful completion of this course, a unique digital certificate, valid for three years, will be available to download and print.
